Description
Oil slicks appear in the Gulf of Mexico in May 2010 after the explosion aboard an oil rig that led to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, the largest marine oil spill in history. The oil spill decimated the regional fishing industry and continued to wash ashore on Gulf Coast beaches years after the initial explosion that caused the leak.
