A tribute to all females who have faced oppression in the past, those that do face oppression currently, and those that will. Where a struggle becomes a reality.
Oppression has many different faces... civil rights, cultural customs, career bias/glass ceilings, racial tendencies, male chauvinism, spousal abuse, abuse of all kinds, mental illness, single parent families, hunger, income status, etc..
This image is meant to bring those struggles to light. To be thought provoking. Nothing more and nothing less. History can be an excellent teacher. It does NOT symbolize my views on women.
